I fed my metal bird the wings of other metal birds.

Notes:

Not a lot of fancy tricks this time. Like mortar between bricks, moments of a song called "Manoula Mou" which is from a Greek play(?) in the 60s(?) called Odos Onerion appear in four spaces putting other songs together quite elegantly. It is a nice song; I forever have a list of Greek song names I would like to have on a mix, songs heard on "Musical Odyssey with Bonnie" which is a great radio show, Saturday noonish on WPRB which streams live, but it is impossible to track the lot of them down.

Canada Month! Whole lot of Canadians ended up on this mix; lot of new and exciting music by Canadians; that is the result of me also now listening a lot to the great shows on CJSW which streams live (La Via Lactea Caboose on Sunday early afternoon is THE BEST ok). Just the musical entities comprised of Canadians I know about here are Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra, Mr Owen Pallett, Miss Brandi Disterheft, Mr Tyler Hornby. Probably there are one or two Canadians somewhere else, like the uncooked rice I dropped on my carpet today.

Also, from my adopted home of Austin, this month we have Harlem and their album is great, and Balmorhea, who serve up a sweeping instrumental centerpiece for the second mix in a row. Actually it is the most stunning song on the mix. Give it a good listen.
